If you went to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, or you are going there, then you should see this tomb.It is a high entrance price for this small but important tomb.

The Smales tomb in the Valley of the Kings is the only example of a royal Theban burial site that remained virtually intact to modern times. The more then 3.000 funeral objects found there are now on display of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

The tomb of Tutankhamun was discovered on November 4th 1922 by the English archaeologist Howard Carter, who worked on behalf of Lord Carnarvon.

Tutankhamun was the son of the heretic pharaoh Amenophis IV (better known as Echnaton/Akhenaten), founder of one of the first monotheistic religions in human history, based on the cult of the sun god.

Tutankhamun ascended the throne in 1333 BC when he was only nine.

During the Ninth year of his reign, in 1324 BC the young pharaoh died. Probably assassinated for reasons unkown.
