The Tomb of Sethos I, also discoverd by Giovanni Belzoni (16 october 1817) is the larges and, in some people's opinion, the most beautiful single tomb in the Valley of the Kings. |
| The architecture of the tomb of Sethos I is complex, with many innovative elements, including the structure of the burial chamber; which as two side chambers with pillars. The astronomical ceiling of the burial chamber is vaulted, which was also an architectural innovation. The Chamber itselfs gives access to a long and mysterious wheel-shaft that probably had a ritual function |
