Nakht, the 'Scribe and Astronomer of Amun' lived during the reign of Tuthmosis IV, and his small tomb is decorated with extremely vivd paintings of great artistic quality. |

The tomb of Nakht is situated in the upper part of the Seik Abd Al-Qurna hill. The only decorated part of this small tomb is the vesitbule, whic precedes the chapel, on the floor of which is the shaft that gives access to the burial chamber. Here archaeologist found a statuette of Nakht supporting a stela with a hymn to Re, which unfortunadly went down with the ship that was torpedoed while taking it to the United States during the 1st world war. |
