Excellent support from the guys at the Luxor shop - Hi Mohamed and Dave! Bike ok when you get used to the up-side-down gear-box. Great fun driving out to the Valley of the Kings. Cheers and waves from all sundry made us feel like royalty. The people outside Luxor are so different from the people hastling the tourists that it is like entering a different country. The V of K is about an hours drive over the bridge from the shop, with Hatshetsuk (HotChickenSoup) on the way Get lost? Don't worry. The people are wonderful and will soon show you the right path. Bad driving? We didn't see any outside Luxor although you still get tooted every time you are overtaken. Dirty? Yes, but thats the desert for you. Buy a scarf and wrap it round your face, smother everything else in sun cream, load up with water and just go. A better, cheaper day out is not to be had in Egypt for the average tourist. Work out where you want to go - just browse the rest of this excellent web site - leave early and return as it gets dark. Apparently you can get to the west bank via ferry but we could not see how. Park next to the police bikes wherever you go and all will be OK. Thanks guys - great day out!

Het was een beetje te warm om te fietsen, maar het was heerlijk weer om Luxor te verkennen met de motor. De motor was goed onderhouden en reed heerlijk. Volgende keer doen wij het zeker weer! Bedankt alle tips en hulp! met vriendelijke groet, Dirk Janssen
